The Pharmaceutical Society of Tanzania (PST) is now open for accepting abstracts for the upcoming International Scientific Conference 2015 that will be held from 25th – 27th November, 2015, at BOT Institute Conference – Mwanza, Tanzania.
The Conference will address a range of critically important issues and themes relating to expanded roles of Pharmacists. Plenary speakers include some of the leading thinkers in these areas, as well as a numerous paper, colloquium, poster and workshop presentations.
We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia addressing the Pharmaceutical opportunities through one of the following sub-themes:
- Pharmacists’ role in multi-Sectorial approaches in health care delivery in Tanzania
- Pharmaceutical Supply chain: Selection, Procurement, distribution and rational use
- Safety, efficacy and quality of pharmaceutical product in Tanzania
- E-health: Opportunities and Challenges
- Innovative approaches in Pharmaceutical care with BRN approach
- NCDs the growing burden of pills to patients
- Scaling up pharmaceutical services in Tanzania
- Neglected tropical diseases best approach for handling medicines
- HIV and AIDS: Position of Pharmacists in the Prevention, care and treatment.
- The role of pharmacist in emerging and re-emerging of diseases.
- Health financing: the role of pharmacist.

July 8, 2015 : Abstract submission opens
August 15, 2015 : Deadline for submission and editing
August 30, 2015 : Deadline to withdraw submissions from consideration, and avoid publication of abstracts of original work
September 10, 2015 : Notification to Presenting Authors of acceptance status
September 20, 2015 : Publication of accepted abstracts of original work
November 25 – 27, 2015 : PST 48th Annual Scientific Sessions in Mwanza, Tanzania
Mode of Application
Authors who wish to submit an article for potential publication in the Pharmaceutical Society may submit a Proposal for Article Submission, while all members of the Society with an accepted proposal may submit their article at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered. And there are participation options for those individuals who cannot attend the conference.
